Attachments serve to improve the performance of a weapon such as reducing weapon recoil or the addition of a flashlight. The five attachment slots for primary weapons are optics, accessories, barrel, underbarrel, and weapon paint. Primary weapons have five attachment slots while secondary weapons have three attachment slots. Vehicle loadouts feature slots for primary and secondary weapons, countermeasures, field upgrades, and vehicle paint.
Players can now create Emblems that can be displayed on uniforms, weapons, vehicles, and killcards. Soldier camouflage is also expanded from Battlefield 3. Each kit contains a slot for primary and secondary weapons, two gadget slots, and one slot each for grenades, melee weapons, field upgrades, and camouflage.
